Candidate for Elective Office definition

Candidate for Elective Office means a Person who has filed nominating papers or petitions for nomination for election to an elected office, or who is otherwise eligible for placement on the ballot in a primary, special, or general election.
Candidate for Elective Office means any person who files nomination papers and a declaration under Wis. Stats. § 8.10 for the purpose of appearing on the ballot for election to an office in the City of Racine or any person nominated for a city office in an election through the write-in process and who files a declaration pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 8.10.

Related to Candidate for Elective Office

  • Campaign for elective office means any activity in furtherance of an effort to influence the selection, nomination, election, or appointment of any individual to any federal, State, or local public office or office in a political organization, or the selection, nomination, or election of Presidential or Vice-Presidential electors, but does not include activities (i) relating to the support or opposition of any executive, legislative, or administrative action, (ii) relating to collective bargaining, or (iii) that are otherwise in furtherance of the person's official duties.

  • Elective office means an office regularly filled by vote of the people.
