Card Schemes definition

Card Schemes means schemes governing the issue and use of Cards listed in Schedule 6, or as may be approved and notified by us to you in writing from time to time;
Card Schemes used interchangeably with Card Brands means VISA U.S.A., Inc., VISA International, Inc., MasterCard International, Inc., Discover Financial Services, American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc., PayPal or any other Card Issuer that provides Cards that are accepted by Merchant under this Agreement with HPS and, with respect to on-line debit Card Transactions the on-line Debit Networks.
Card Schemes means national or payment card networks including but not limited to Master Card, Maestro, Visa, Diners, American Express and Rupay etc. which Authenticates, Authorizes and enables card transactions.

Examples of Card Schemes in a sentence

  • Client shall be fully liable for damages resulting from incorrect use of the Service or use of the Service against the rules for use the Service or the rules of the Card Schemes or other regulations.

  • In case a transaction via the Service is already approved, but the POS terminal or Internet connection is switched off during or prior to transaction processing, for whatever reason, such transaction shall not be cleared and paid by the Card Schemes under their rules.

  • In such cases and in cases where the period between the approval of such transaction and the actual clearing via the Card Schemes and payment to the Client is more than 5 (five) calendar days, the Client shall be charged with a Fee for Late presentment as per the Tariff.

  • The Merchant service charges for MADA and International Card Schemes The schedule of charges shall become effective once the terminal/s is/are installed.

  • You acknowledge that the Card Schemes may, under Card Scheme Rules, reserve the right to direct amendment or termination of this Agreement.
