Changes in the Work definition

Changes in the Work means additions, deletions, or other revisions to the Work approved in advance in writing by the Consultant or the Board and relate to the general scope of the Contract as determined by the Board.

Examples of Changes in the Work in a sentence

  • Any additional compensation or extension of time claimed by the Contractor on account of emergency work shall be determined as provided in Article 12 for Changes in the Work.

  • The Owner, without invalidating the Contract, may order Changes in the Work consisting of additions, deletions, or modifications, the Contract Sum and the Contract Time being adjusted accordingly.

  • Claims for extension of time or for other delay or other impact resulting from changes ordered in the Work shall be presented and adjusted as provided in Article 35, Changes in the Work.

  • Changes in the Work made necessary due to unforeseen site conditions, discovery of errors in plans or specifications requiring immediate clarification in order to avoid a serious Work stoppage, changes of a kind where the extent cannot be determined until completed, or under any circumstances whatsoever when deemed necessary by the University are kinds of emergency changes which may be authorized by the University in writing to the Contractor.

  • All Changes in the Work that are the basis of an adjustment to the Contract Sum or Contract Time must be authorized in advance, in writing, by City or Construction Manager.

  • Changes in the Work shall be mutually agreed to and incorporated into an amendment to this Agreement.

  • Subject to any applicable conditions and requirements regarding Contract Modifications and Changes in the Work set forth in the Technical Specifications or elsewhere in the Contract Documents, this Section specifies administrative and procedural requirements for handling and processing Contract modifications.

  • All defective work, whether or not in place, may be rejected, corrected or accepted as provided in Paragraph 19, Changes in the Work, of these General Provisions.

  • If the Contractor observes that the Contract Documents are at variance therewith, he shall promptly notify the Engineer in writing, and any necessary changes shall be adjusted as provided in Paragraph 19 of these General Provisions, Changes in the Work.

  • Changes in the Work that effect activities identified in Contractor’s schedule as “critical” to completion of the entire Work, if such changes are ordered by Owner or recommended by Architect and ordered by Owner.


More Definitions of Changes in the Work

Changes in the Work. The word "substantive" is deleted.
Changes in the Work means additions, deletions or other revisions to the Work, within the intent of the Agreement, but are not Changed Conditions (see Section 14.01). The Ministry Representative may, at any time before certifying Total Performance of the Work, do any of the following:
Changes in the Work means a change in the work or the construction contract, including, but not limited to, an increase or decrease in the scope of work, or an acceleration of time for the performance of the work, or a change in the sequence in which the work is to be performed.
Changes in the Work. Any change in the scope of work, whether it affects the contract amount or not, must go through the building manager where a change order will be initiated. No change in the work will be accepted without a signed change order.

Changes in the Work means additions, deletions or other revisions to the Work, within the intent of the Agreement, but are not Changed Conditions (see Section 14.01).

Related to Changes in the Work

  • Changes The Detail Specification will be revised to include: (i) Changes applicable to the basic Model 787 aircraft which are developed by Boeing between the date of the Detail Specification and the signing of the definitive agreement to purchase the Option Aircraft; (ii) Changes required to obtain required regulatory certificates; and (iii) Changes mutually agreed upon.

  • Change in Use means altering the purpose of an existing room, within the facility, that requires structural changes.

  • re-use means any operation by which products or components that are not waste are used again for the same purpose for which they were conceived;

  • Office use means lands, buildings or structures used or designed or intended for use for the practice of a profession, the carrying on of a business or occupation and, for greater certainty, but without in any way limiting the generality of the foregoing, shall include but not be limited to the office of a physician, lawyer, dentist, architect, engineer, accountant, real estate or insurance agency, insurance company, veterinarian, surveyor, appraiser, financial institution, consumer loan company, employment agency, advertising agency, consulting firm, business service, investment company, security broker, mortgage company, medical clinic, builder, land developer;

  • Unsuitable for Its Permitted Use means, with respect to any Facility, a state or condition of such Facility such that (a) following any damage or destruction involving a Facility, (i) such Facility cannot be operated on a commercially practicable basis for its Permitted Use and it cannot reasonably be expected to be restored to substantially the same condition as existed immediately before such damage or destruction, and as otherwise required by Section 10.2.4, within twelve (12) months following such damage or destruction or such longer period of time as to which business interruption insurance is available to cover Rent and other costs related to the applicable Property following such damage or destruction, (ii) the damage or destruction, if uninsured, exceeds $1,000,000 or (iii) the cost of such restoration exceeds ten percent (10%) of the fair market value of such Property immediately prior to such damage or destruction, or (b) as the result of a partial taking by Condemnation, such Facility cannot be operated, in the good faith judgment of Tenant, on a commercially practicable basis for its Permitted Use.

  • Routine use means the disclosure of a record without the consent of the subject or subjects, for a purpose which is compatible with the purpose for which the record was collected. It includes disclosures required to be made by statute other than the public records law, Iowa Code chapter 22.

  • Critical habitat - means the following river reaches and their 100 year floodplains: the Gunnison River downstream of the Uncompahgre River confluence, the Colorado River downstream of the exit 90 north bridge from I-70, the White River downstream of Rio Blanco Dam, the Green River downstream of the Yampa River confluence, and the Yampa River downstream of the Colo 394 bridge.

  • Change Orders mean changes or modifications to any Construction Contract or any other contract with labor or material suppliers.

  • Critical (C) means any equipment, medications or supplies critical for lifesaving patient care and which by its absence would jeopardize patient care.

  • Testing-the-Waters Communication means any oral or written communication with potential investors undertaken in reliance on Section 5(d) of the Securities Act.

  • Existing development means development, other than that associated with agricultural or forest management activities, that meets one of the following criteria:

  • Written Testing-the-Waters Communications means any Testing-the-Waters Communication that is a Written Communication.

  • Changes/Extra Work The SUBRECIPIENT shall make no changes to this CONTRACT without the COUNTY’s written consent. In the event that there are new or unforeseen requirements, the COUNTY with the SUBRECIPIENT’s concurrence has the discretion to request official changes at any time without changing the intent of this CONTRACT.

  • Critical facility means a facility for which even a slight chance of flooding might be too great. Critical facilities include, but are not limited to, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, police, fire and emergency response installations, and installations which produce, use or store hazardous materials or hazardous waste.

  • Technological Change in this Article means: (a) the introduction by the Company into its business of equipment or material of a different nature or kind than that previously utilized by the Company in the operation of its business and (b) a change in the manner in which the Company carries on the business that is directly related to the introduction of that equipment or material.

  • Nonconforming use means a use of land that:

  • Construction material means an article, material, or supply brought to the construction site by the Contractor or a subcontractor for incorporation into the building or work. The term also includes an item brought to the site preassembled from articles, materials, or supplies. However, emergency life safety systems, such as emergency lighting, fire alarm, and audio evacuation systems, that are discrete systems incorporated into a public building or work and that are produced as complete systems, are evaluated as a single and distinct construction material regardless of when or how the individual parts or components of those systems are delivered to the construction site. Materials purchased directly by the Government are supplies, not construction material.

  • Change is defined in Section 3.2.

  • Business Critical means any function identified in any Statement of Work as Business Critical.

  • Critical areas means any of the following areas or ecosystems: wetlands, critical aquifer recharge areas, streams, fish and wildlife habitat conservation areas, frequently flooded areas, and geologically hazardous areas as defined by the Growth Management Act (RCW 36.070A.170).

  • Benchmark Replacement Conforming Changes means, with respect to any Benchmark Replacement, any technical, administrative or operational changes (including changes to the definition of “Base Rate,” the definition of “Business Day,” the definition of “Interest Period,” timing and frequency of determining rates and making payments of interest, timing of borrowing requests or prepayment, conversion or continuation notices, the applicability and length of lookback periods, the applicability of breakage provisions, and other technical, administrative or operational matters) that the Administrative Agent decides may be appropriate to reflect the adoption and implementation of such Benchmark Replacement and to permit the administration thereof by the Administrative Agent in a manner substantially consistent with market practice (or, if the Administrative Agent decides that adoption of any portion of such market practice is not administratively feasible or if the Administrative Agent determines that no market practice for the administration of such Benchmark Replacement exists, in such other manner of administration as the Administrative Agent decides is reasonably necessary in connection with the administration of this Agreement and the other Loan Documents).

  • Change Order means a written order to the Contractor signed by the Contracting Officer, issued after execu- tion of the Contract, authorizing a change in the term or scope of the Contract.

  • Unilateral Change Order (ULCO means a Change Order issued by Owner without the complete agreement of Contractor, as to cost and/or time.

  • Communication Facilities means video, video-conferencing, internet or online conferencing applications, telephone or tele-conferencing and/or any other video-communications, internet or online conferencing application or telecommunications facilities by means of which all Persons participating in a meeting are capable of hearing and being heard by each other;

  • Written Testing-the-Waters Communication means any Testing-the-Waters Communication that is a written communication within the meaning of Rule 405 under the Securities Act.
