Children In Need definition

Children In Need. – means any child who has been assessed as being unlikely to achieve or maintain a reasonable standard of health or development without access to services (including all disabled children and any child named on the Child Protection Register).
Children In Need means persons under the age of 18 years who are at risk of poverty or social exclusion;
Children In Need means children in respect of whom the local authority in whose area they reside must provide a range and level of services appropriate to their needs under section 17 of the Children Act 1989(19);
