Clause -13. This contractor shall not be sublet without the written permission of the Executive Engineer in the event of the contractor sub-letting his contract without permission, he shall be considered to have thereby committed a breach of the contract and shall forfeit his security deposit, and shall have no claim for any compensation for any loss that may accrue on account of the collection of the materials or engagement entered into.

Decision of Superintendi ng Engineer to be final Clause -14 :- The contractor shall be responsible for and shall pay any compensation to his workmen which may be payable under the Workmen’s compensation Act.,1923 (VIII of 1923 ) hereinafter called the said Act, for injuries suffered by them, if such compensation is paid by the government as principal under sub-section (1) of section 12 of the said Act on behalf of the contractor, it shall be recoverable by the government from the contractor under sub-section (2) of the said section. Such compensation shall be recovered in the manner laid down in clause -1 above.
Clause -13. The contractor, shall execute the whole and every part of the work in the most substantial and xxxxxxx like manner, and both as regards materials and every other respect in strict accordance with specifications. The contractors shall also conform exactly, fully and faithfully to the designs, drawings and instructions in writing relating to the work signed by the Engineer-in-charge and lodged in his office and to which the contractor shall be entitled to have access for the purpose of inspection at such office, or on the site of the work during office hours. The contractor will be entitled to receive three sets of contract drawings and working drawings as well as one certified copy of the accepted tender along with the work order free of cost. Further copies of the contract drawings and working drawings if required by him, shall be supplied at the rate of Rs.300/- per set of contract drawings and Rs.150/- per working drawing except where otherwise specified.
