CODES AND REGULATIONS a. The Contractor shall be knowledgeable regarding and shall comply with applicable portions of California Code of Regulations Title 24, the applicable Building Code, and all other codes, ordinances, regulations or orders of properly constituted authority having jurisdiction over the work of this Project. The Contractor shall examine the Contract Documents for compliance with these codes and regulations and shall promptly notify the Project Manager of any discrepancies. b. All work and materials shall be in full accordance with the latest rules and regulations of the Safety Orders of the Division of Industrial Safety and the applicable State laws and/or regulations. Nothing in the Project plans or Specifications is to be construed to permit work not conforming to the applicable Codes. Buildings and/or all other construction covered by this Contract shall meet all the regulations for access by the physically handicapped as administered by the Division of the State Architect and as may be required by federal or state law. c. If the work under this Contract is for the construction of a school building as defined by the Education Code, then the following provisions shall apply to the Contract: 1) All work shall be executed in accordance with the current requirements of the Education Code and California Code of Regulations: Title 24 and Title 19. No deviations from the DSA approved plans and Specifications will be permitted except upon a Change Order or Addenda, signed by the District and Project Manager and approved by the Division of the State Architect and the State Fire Marshal, if applicable. 2) The Division of the State Architect shall be notified 48 hours in advance of the first pour of concrete.

The issue or revisions of these documents in effect on the date of the Purchase Order shall apply. d. In the event of a conflict between any portion of this Specification and the referenced specifications, data sheets, Manufacturer’s product information, and drawings, such conflicts shall immediately be brought to the OWNER’s attention and the OWNER shall determine which document prevails.
