Collecting sewers means sewers, including force lines, gravity sewers, interceptors, laterals, trunk sewers, manholes, lampholes and necessary appurtenances and including service wyes, which are used to transport sewage and are owned, operated, or maintained by a sewage disposal utility.
Collecting sewers means lateral, branch, submain, and trunk sewers consisting of pipes or conduits including pumps, lift stations, force mains, and other appurtenances necessary for a system to prevent or eliminate discharges of raw or inadequately treated sewage of human origin into any waters of the state.
