Committee Work definition

Committee Work. Involvement by teachers in committee work approved by the Superintendent will be reimbursed at a rate of $20.00 per hour. Such reimbursement will only be made for committee activity outside of the teacher work day. Payment for approved committee hours must be requested on a claim form prior to June 1st of the year during which they are performed.

Committee Work. Faculty Senate committee work is considered an integral part of a full- time faculty position. Workload credit shall not normally be assigned for serving on committees and committee work shall be done in addition to the 45 workload credit assignment. However, a faculty member who believes his or her committee assignment justifies workload credit may be assigned committee work as part of their normal load pursuant to Article 12.10 if the Vice President of Instruction deems such assignment appropriate. Lecturer faculty members shall not be assigned to serve on committees.
