Community Integration definition

Community Integration means presence, participation and interaction in natural environments;
Community Integration means the process of including persons with disabilities in the environments, activities, and social networks of typical persons. This term is also used interchangeably with “inclusion.”
Community Integration means the process of including persons with mental illness in the environments, activities, and social networks of typical persons.

  • Community setting means a location outside a hospital inpatient, acute care setting or a hospital clinic setting. A community setting may include, but is not limited to, a home, group home, assisted living facility, correctional facility, hospice, or long-term care facility.
