Commuted overtime definition

Commuted overtime means an agreed allowance negotiated between the Union and the Employer, paid in lieu of actual overtime worked for a group of employees occupying positions which require work to be performed consistently and regularly outside and in excess of the prescribed hours of duty.
Commuted overtime means hours of work additional to the total number of normal hours of work required by the employer to render a health service within a health facility in terms of operational needs. It should be only duty in excess of the normal prescribed working hours and authorized by the relevant delegated authority;

  • Overtime means work performed by a full-time employee in excess or outside of their regularly scheduled hours of work.

  • Water Year means the period commencing with October 1 of 1 year 20 and extending through September 30 of the next; and

  • Clock hour means either of the following:

  • Shift means a daily tour of duty exclusive of overtime hours.

  • Wages is defined as the amount of money the employee would have otherwise received over a period of absence, excluding overtime.
