Compound Screening definition

Compound Screening has the meaning provided in Section 2.4.
Compound Screening means the use of a primary assay for testing biological or chemical materials, including chemical materials coming out of high-throughput screening, to determine whether they show pharmaceutically relevant activity.
Compound Screening means the activities described in Section 3.4(a).

Examples of Compound Screening in a sentence

  • Should Unity identify through such Compound Screening Compounds in the Library of interest to Unity for which Patents have not been filed, upon Unity’s request, Ascentage agrees to use commercially reasonable efforts to promptly file Patents with respect such Compounds and thereafter (or to allow Unity to do so at its expense in accordance with Section 7.2) shall disclose to Unity the chemical structure of such Compounds.

  • At any time during the Exclusivity Term with respect to a Novel Validated Target, Novartis, at its sole discretion, may request in writing that Rigel conduct Compound Screening of Rigel's small-molecule compound library against such Novel Validated Target.

  • The Parties intend that these Novel Validated Targets will be suitable to enable Compound Screening to identify molecules useful for the development and manufacture of Products.

  • The first [*] will not be used for costs associated with Compound Screening of Target Inhibitors other than the Initial Lead Candidates.

Related to Compound Screening

  • Collaboration Compound means any of the following: (a) FG-4592, (b) any HIF Compound (other than FG-4592) that is added to this Agreement pursuant to Section 3.6, and (c) any salts, esters, complexes, chelates, crystalline and amorphous morphic forms, pegylated forms, enantiomers (excluding regioisomers), prodrugs, solvates, metabolites and catabolites of any of the foregoing ((a) or (b)).

  • Compounds means any chemical entity and/or active ingredient which is a selective or non-selective TGR5 receptor agonist or [***], including any Derivative thereof, synthesized by TES or its Affiliates pursuant to work conducted under the Research Program.

  • Lead Compound means any compound of lead other than galena which, when treated in the manner described below, yields to an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid, a quantity of soluble lead compound exceeding, when calculated as lead monoxide, five per cent of the “dry weight” of the portion taken for analysis. In the case of paints and similar products and other mixtures containing oil or fat the “dry weight” means the dry weight of the material remaining after the substance has been thoroughly mixed and treated with suitable solvents to remove oil, fats, varnish or other media.

  • Manufacturing Know-How means all information, techniques, inventions, discoveries, improvements, practices, methods, knowledge, skill, experience and other technology, whether or not patentable or copyrightable, and any copyrights based thereon, relating to or necessary or useful for the production, purification, packaging, storage and transportation of Collaboration Products, including without limitation specifications, acceptance criteria, manufacturing batch records, standard operating procedures, engineering plans, installation, operation and process qualification protocols for equipment, validation records, master files submitted to the FDA, process validation reports, environmental monitoring processes, test data including pharmacological, toxicological and clinical test data, cost data and employee training materials.

  • Manufacturing Technology means any and all patents, patent applications, Know-How, and all intellectual property rights associated therewith, and including all tangible embodiments thereof, that are necessary or useful for the manufacture of adeno- associated viruses, adeno-associated virus vectors, research or commercial reagents related thereto, Licensed Products, or other products, including manufacturing processes, technical information relating to the methods of manufacture, protocols, standard operating procedures, batch records, assays, formulations, quality control data, specifications, scale up, any and all improvements, modifications, and changes thereto, and any and all activities associated with such manufacture. Any and all chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC), drug master files (DMFs), or similar materials provided to regulatory authorities and the information contained therein are deemed Manufacturing Technology.
