Control survey means a survey that provides horizontal or vertical position data for the support or control of subordinate surveys or for mapping.

Control survey means a survey of either first order accuracy or a breakdown of a first order survey established for the purpose of setting out any other survey or to which any existing survey can be related and is shown on a plan signed by a registered surveyor and available from a government authority.
