Patent Cooperation Treaty means the Patent Cooperation Treaty done at Washington on June 19, 1970;
EC Treaty means the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (signed in Rome on 25 March 1957), as amended by the Treaty on European Union (signed in Maastricht on 7 February 1992) and as amended by the Treaty of Amsterdam (signed in Amsterdam on 2 October 1997), as further amended from time to time;
land development application means the application for a land development permit on a form provided by [local jurisdiction] along with the supporting documentation required in Section [Y]-10(a).
Foreign Financial Regulatory Authority shall have the meaning given by Section 2(a)(50) of the 0000 Xxx.
Cape Town Treaty means, collectively, the official English language text of (a) the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment, and (b) the Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment, in each case adopted on November 16, 2001, at a diplomatic conference in Cape Town, South Africa, and from and after the effective date of the Cape Town Treaty in the relevant country, means when referring to the Cape Town Treaty with respect to that country, the Cape Town Treaty as in effect in such country, unless otherwise indicated, and (c) all rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto and, in the case of each of the foregoing described in clauses (a) through (c), all amendments, supplements, and revisions thereto.
Conventional filtration treatment means a series of processes including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration resulting in substantial particulate removal.
Cooperating country means the country in which the employing USAID Mission is located.
national regulatory authority means the body or bodies charged by a Member State with any of the regulatory tasks assigned in this Directive and the Specific Directives;
international application means an application filed under this Treaty;
Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) means the Government Agency responsible for oversight of public procurement.
Planning Application means the application for [outline/full] planning permission dated [ ] bearing the Council’s reference number [ ];
UK Treaty State means a jurisdiction having a double taxation agreement (a “UK Treaty”) with the United Kingdom which makes provision for full exemption from tax imposed by the United Kingdom on interest.
PCT means the Patent Cooperation Treaty;
Marketing Approval Application or “MAA” means a New Drug Application (or its equivalent), as defined in the U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and the regulations promulgated thereunder, or any corresponding or similar application, registration or certification in any country.
Insurance Regulatory Authority means, with respect to any Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department or similar Governmental Authority charged with regulating insurance companies or insurance holding companies, in its jurisdiction of domicile and, to the extent that it has regulatory authority over such Insurance Subsidiary, in each other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary conducts business or is licensed to conduct business.
Marketing Authorization Application or “MAA” means an application to the appropriate Regulatory Authority for approval to sell the Product (but excluding Pricing Approval) in any particular country or regulatory jurisdiction.
Relevant Electric Retail Regulatory Authority means an entity that has jurisdiction over and establishes prices and policies for competition for providers of retail electric service to end- customers, such as the city council for a municipal utility, the governing board of a cooperative utility, the state public utility commission or any other such entity.
Regulatory Approval Application means an application to seek regular or expedited Regulatory Approval of the Licensed Product for sale or marketing in any country(ies) or Region(s) in the Territory, as defined in the applicable Laws and filed with the Regulatory Authority of such country(ies) or Region(s).
foreign regulatory authority means a securities commission, exchange or other securities market regulatory authority in a designated foreign jurisdiction;
Regulatory Law means the Xxxxxxx Act, as amended, the Xxxxxxx Act, as amended, the HSR Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act, as amended, and all other federal, state and foreign, if any, statutes, rules, regulations, orders, decrees, administrative and judicial doctrines and other laws that are designed or intended to prohibit, restrict or regulate actions having the purpose or effect of monopolization or restraint of trade or lessening of competition through merger or acquisition.
Securities Regulatory Authorities means the securities commission or similar regulatory authority in each province and territory of Canada that is responsible for administering the Canadian securities legislation in force in such jurisdictions;
Drug Approval Application means, with respect to a Licensed Product in the Territory, an application for Regulatory Approval for such product in a country in the Territory. For purposes of clarity, Drug Approval Application shall include, without limitation, (a) an NDA or BLA (for U.S.) or MAA (for Europe); (b) a counterpart of an NDA, BLA or MAA in any country or region in the Territory; and (c) all supplements (including supplemental applications such as sNDAs) and amendments to the foregoing.
Regulatory Filing means any approvals, licenses, registrations, submissions and authorizations, and applications therefor, including IND, NDA, BLA, drug dossier or drug master file filed, or Marketing Approval obtained, with respect to an Option Product, Licensed Product or Companion Diagnostic, as applicable, in the Field, including all amendments, supplements, annual reports and the like thereof or therefor filed with or otherwise provided to the applicable Regulatory Authority.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) means the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission or its duly authorized representatives.
relevant planning authority means the district planning authority for the area in which the land to which the relevant provision of this Order applies is situated;
securities regulatory authority or “SRA” means a body created by statute in any Canadian or foreign jurisdiction to administer securities law, regulation and policy (e.g. securities commission), but does not include an exchange or other self regulatory entity;
