Cosmetic imperfection means an irregularity or imperfection which does not affect a component’s normally intended function or operation, and which could but is not required to be repaired;

  • Cosmetic means surgery, procedures or treatment and other services performed primarily to enhance or improve appearance, including but not limited to, and except as otherwise required by state or federal law, those surgeries, procedures, treatments and other services performed in the absence of a functional impairment of a body part or organ as documented in the medical record, even if such services will improve emotional, psychological or mental condition or function.

  • Visual impairment including blindness means an impairment in vision that, even with correction, adversely affects a student's educational performance. The term includes both partial sight and blindness.

  • Other health impairment means having limited strength, vitality, or alertness, including a heightened alertness to environmental stimuli, that results in limited alertness with respect to the educational environment, that:

  • School of cosmetology means an establishment operated for the purpose of teaching cosmetology.

  • Violent act means behavior that resulted in homicide,

  • Medical leave means leave of up to a total of 12 workweeks in a 12-month period because of an employee’s own serious health condition that makes the employee unable to work at all or unable to perform any one or more of the essential functions of the position of that employee. The term “essential functions” is defined in Government Code section 12926. “Medical leave” does not include leave taken for an employee’s pregnancy disability, as defined in (n) below, except as specified below in section 11093(c)(1).

  • Minor Technical Irregularities means anything in the proposal that does not affect the price quality and quantity or any other mandatory requirement.

  • Encumbrances means any mortgages, pledges, liens, security interests, conditional and installment sale agreements, activity and use limitations, conservation easements, deed restrictions, encumbrances and charges of any kind.

  • Counterfeit substance means a controlled substance which, or the container or labeling of which, without authorization, bears the trademark, trade name, or other identifying mark, imprint, number or device, or any likeness thereof, of a manufacturer, distributor, or dispenser other than the person who in fact manufactured, distributed, or dispensed the substance.

  • Infection means the entry and development or multiplication of an infectious agent in the body of humans and animals that may constitute a public health risk;

  • Narcotic drug means any of the following, whether produced directly or indirectly by extraction from substances of vegetable origin, or independently by means of chemical synthesis, or by a combination of extraction and chemical synthesis:

  • Chronic toxicity means concurrent and delayed adverse effects that occur only as a result of a chronic exposure.

  • Liens means a lien, charge, pledge, security interest, encumbrance, right of first refusal, preemptive right or other restriction.

  • obstructive practices which means harming or threatening to harm, directly or indirectly, persons to influence their participation in a procurement process, or affect the execution of a contract;
