Council Tax definition

Council Tax. We are advised by the Shropshire Local Authority, the property is Band C (currently £1,644.75 for the year 2019/2020). EPC RATING: E (50) TENURE: We are advised by the Vendors, that the property is held Freehold and vacant possession will be given upon completion.
Council Tax means a tax levied on households by local authorities, based on the estimated value of a property. The tax is set by each local authority, based on the cost of services it provides to residents, to a value that would enable each local authority to achieve a balanced budget;
Council Tax means tax or taxes or fee or fees payable directly or ultimately to South Derbyshire District Council (“SDDC”) on an individual hereditament.

Examples of Council Tax in a sentence

  • If for any reason Council Tax becomes due for the Accommodation because of your actions then you will pay it (or reimburse us for any sums we pay within 14 days of written demand).

  • To pay the Council Tax (or any similar charge which replaces it) in respect of the Property either directly to the local authority, or by paying that sum to the Landlord where the Landlord has paid that sum to the local authority (whether legally required to do so or not) within 14 days of receiving a written request for such monies.

  • The Tenant accepts responsibility for payment of all Council Tax and water and sewerage charges or any local tax which may replace these, from the commencement of the tenancy until termination of same or vacant possession is afforded to the Landlord (whichever is the latter).

  • The Tenant will notify the local authority that the Tenant is responsible for paying the Council Tax and any other associated charges.

  • I will hold a current Council Tax exemption certificate and produce it to the Landlord within 7 days of the Landlord's request and I will pay (or indemnify the Landlord/Managing Agent for) any Council Tax charge that may be imposed as a result of my failure to comply with clause A16 and this clause A17.

  • The Tenant hereby agrees that the forwarding address may be disclosed to the Landlord’s solicitors and other advisors and to all utility companies and Council Tax authorities at the end of the Tenancy.

  • The written-off value of disposals is not a charge against Council Tax, as the cost of non-current assets is fully provided for under separate arrangements for capital financing.

  • You must register with the Council Tax Department of the London Borough of Newham and pay Council Tax for the term of the tenancy.

  • For Council Tax Support excess reduction write offs, approval made by Council Tax Team Leader.

  • The Tenant shall pay the local Council Tax, if payable, in respect of the period of the Lease.

  • council tax benefit means council tax benefit under Part 7 of the SSCBA; “couple” has the meaning given by paragraph 4;

  • central tax means the central goods and services tax levied under section 9 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act;
