Daylight Savings Time definition

Daylight Savings Time means the advancement of timekeeping clocks forward one hour from Standard Time near the start of spring pursuant to the Uniform Time Act of 1966, Pub.L. 89-387, 80 Stat. 107, 15 U.S.C. §§ 260-64, as amended, as administered by the US Department of Transportation.“Delivery Points” has the meaning set forth in Section 3.1.

Daylight Savings Time. On weekends when the City changes from Standard to Daylight Savings time or the reverse, employees working at the official time of change shall be paid for actual hours worked. In the case of continuous operation employees, they shall be paid either forty (40) hours at straight time when the clock is set forward or forty (40) hours at straight time plus one (1) hour at the appropriate overtime rate when the clock is set back. No employee will lose any pay as a result of the change in time which occurs from daylight savings time. Building Maintenance Employees: Overtime for snow emergencies will first be assigned to employees voluntarily in accordance with a list of those employees willing to work overtime in such situations. If, however, an insufficient number of employees are available or willing to work overtime, the Director of Maintenance as an alternative, use volunteers, temporary workers, and any other city employees to perform said work.

  • Unless otherwise indicated, all references to time are references to Eastern Standard Time or Eastern Daylight Savings Time, as the case may be.

  • It is the intent of the Parties that employees working during Daylight Savings Time changes be paid only for actual hours worked.

Daylight Savings Time. On any weekend during which there is a change to or from Standard Time to Daylight Savings time, the Chief of Police may adjust work schedules so that those assigned to work do actually work the regular number of hours normally assigned to the shift. The “time change hour” for Daylight Savings shall not be included in the definition of actual hours worked or be considered for pay purposes, and no employee assigned to a shift who works during the transition to or from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time shall be paid any sum except for actual hours worked during said shift.

  • Central Clock Time or "CCT" means Central Daylight Time when Daylight Savings Time is in effect and Central Standard Time when Daylight Savings Time is not in effect.
