De Minimus Force definition

De Minimus Force means physical interactions, for a lawful purpose, between 6 an officer and a member of the public meant to separate, guide, and/or control without resort to 7 control techniques that are intended to or are reasonably likely to cause pain. Examples include 8 using hands or equipment to stop, push back, separate, or escort and the use of compliance holds 9 without the use of sufficient force to cause pain.
