Declared emergency event definition
Declared emergency event means the time period of an emergency event declared or duly proclaimed by a local governing body, state Governor, or the President of the United States during any of the conditions or degrees of emergency described in California Government Code section 8558.
Declared emergency event means the time period of an emergency event declared by a local governing body, state Governor, or the President of the United States due to earthquake, flood, storm, fire, terrorism, or other infrequent act of nature. The emergency event period shall be determined by the Executive Officer and shall remain in effect until the immediate threat to public safety has ended and the Executive Officer declares the emergency event is over.
