DHE Usage Rules definition

DHE Usage Rules means the content usage rules applicable to each DHE Included Program available on the DHE Service, as set forth in the attached Schedule C-2.
DHE Usage Rules shall include the following: Authentication Consumers must authenticate prior to being granted content access rights and prior to downloading content for disconnected usage scenarios. To authenticate, a consumer must supply a unique username and password combination. To protect against fraud, the username and password must be tied to an account and grant either: 1) access to credit card information, or 2) purchasing authority. For devices with limited consumer interface capabilities (such as portables), authentication may be accomplished through a more robust device (such as a PC) that is connected to the limited device.
DHE Usage Rules shall include the following: These rules apply to the playing of Non-UltraViolet DHE content on Approved Devices. Users must have an active Account (an “Account”) prior to acquiring DHE content. All Accounts must be protected via account credentials consisting of at least a userid and password. Account credentials shall allow purchase of content and/or expose of sensitive information (e.g. credit card details) such that there is a strong dis-incentive to the sharing of account credentials with other users. The user may register up to five (5) Approved Devices which are approved for the storage and rendering of DHE content. There are no limitations (save that viewing can only happen on registered Approved Devices) on the number of registered Approved Devices on which viewing can occur simultaneously. Users are permitted to move DHE content from one registered Approved Device to another registered Approved Device. Each Account may only have one active, authenticated user session at a time. Licensee shall monitor the registration and de-registration of Approved Devices from the User’s set of five (5) to ensure that abuse is not occurring. By way of example abuse can occur if a user allows others to temporarily register devices to that user’s account for the purposes of sharing content. Action shall be taken to stop abuse.
