Direct Care Worker (DCW) means An individual who assists an elderly individual or an individual with a disability with activities necessary to allow them to reside in their home. These individuals, also known as Direct Support Professionals, must be employed/contracted by DCW Agencies or, in the case of member-directed options, employed by ALTCS members in order to provide services to ALTCS members.
