Competitive solicitation means a formal, advertised procurement process, other than an Invitation to Bid, Request for Proposals, or Invitation to Negotiate, approved by the Board to purchase commodities and/or services which affords vendors fair treatment in the competition for award of a District purchase contract.
Offer to Acquire shall include:
(i) an offer to purchase, a public announcement of an intention to make an offer to purchase, or a solicitation of an offer to sell; and
(ii) an acceptance of an offer to sell, whether or not such offer to sell has been solicited; or any combination thereof, and the Person accepting an offer to sell shall be deemed to be making an Offer to Acquire to the Person that made the offer to sell.
Bid Solicitation means a formal request for Bids including an Informal Quotation, Request for Quotation, Request for Pre-Qualification, Request for Tender, Request for Proposal, Negotiated Request for Proposal, or Request for Expression of Interest;
Home solicitation sale means a sale of goods or services of more than $25.00 in which the seller or a person acting for the seller engages in a personal, telephonic, or written solicitation of the sale, the solicitation is received by the buyer at a residence of the buyer, and the buyer's agreement or offer to purchase is there given to the seller or a person acting for the seller. Home solicitation sale does not include any of the following:
Direct response solicitation means a solicitation through a sponsoring or endorsing entity or individually solely through mails, telephone, the Internet or other mass communication media.
