Director of Fire and Emergency Services definition

Director of Fire and Emergency Services means a person appointed by Council under the Fire Protection and Prevention Act or designate;
Director of Fire and Emergency Services means the Director of Fire and Emergency Services for the Corporation of the Municipality of Port Hope or designate.

  • The Director and/or Chief of Police and/or Director of Fire and Emergency Services is authorized to post signage of permission, regulation, restriction, warning or prohibition with respect to uses of or activities in any Park or Recreation Area in accordance with the provisions hereof.

  • Every order issued by the Director of Fire and Emergency Services or Inspector pursuant hereto shall state a date by which the said order shall be carried out, which date shall be fixed having regard to the degree of urgency involved in correcting or removing conditions which may tend to increase the hazard of fire or danger to life and property.

  • The Director of Fire and Emergency Services may, from time to time, make policies and operational guidelines for the proper and efficient administration and operation of the Fire Rescue Service, and may vary, alter, or repeal such policies and operational guidelines as deemed fit or necessary.

  • Every fire permit issued pursuant to this Bylaw shall be signed by the Director of Fire and Emergency Services, or his designate, and the Permittee and shall contain the details of such burning to be conducted as set out in Schedule “B” attached hereto.

  • The Director of Fire and Emergency Services shall charge an owner or occupant of a premises for the replacement or repair of Fernie Fire Rescue Service equipment where, as a result of an incident at or near their premises, such equipment has been damaged or contaminated by a hazardous substance or dangerous goods and will require decontamination repair or replacement.

  • The Director of Fire and Emergency Services shall be responsible for the management control and supervision of the Fernie Fire Rescue Service, for all Fernie Fire Rescue Service personnel and the discipline thereof, and for the care custody, and control of all buildings, apparatus, and equipment of the Fernie Fire Rescue Service.

  • No person shall obstruct or interfere with the Director of Fire and Emergency Services or Inspector while any inspection is being carried out pursuant to this bylaw, the B.C. Fire Code, or the Fire Services Act.

  • No person shall purposely withhold or falsify any information required by the Director of Fire and Emergency Services or Inspector, nor refuse to assist in the carrying out of an fire inspection pursuant to this bylaw, the Fire Code or the Fire Services Act.

  • Emergency medical services or “EMS” means an integrated medical care delivery system to provide emergency and nonemergency medical care at the scene or during out-of-hospital patient transportation in an ambulance.

  • Corporate Services Agreement means the Corporate Services Agreement dated as of the date hereof between the Borrower and the Services Provider, as amended from time to time in accordance with the terms hereof and thereof.

  • Emergency medical services provider means a person who has received formal training in prehospital and emergency care, and is licensed to attend any person who is ill or injured or who has a disability. Police officers, firefighters, funeral home employees and other persons serving in a dual capacity one of which meets the definition of “emergency medical services provider” are “emergency medical services providers” within the meaning of this chapter.

  • Health and Human Services or “HHS” includes HHSC and DSHS.

  • Self-Administration of Medication means the individual manages and takes his or her own medication, identifies his or her medication and the times and methods of administration, places the medication internally in or externally on his or her own body without staff assistance upon written order of a physician, and safely maintains the medication without supervision.

  • Corporate Services Provider means Computershare Trust Company of Canada, a trust company formed under the laws of Canada, as corporate services provider to the Liquidation GP under the Corporate Services Agreement, together with any successor corporate services provider appointed from time to time;

  • Emergency service provider means a uniformed or otherwise identified employee or contractor of a fire department, hospital, or police station when that individual is inside the premises and on duty. Emergency service provider also includes a paramedic or an emergency medical technician when either of those individuals is responding to a 9-1-1 emergency call.

  • Administration Services means the services required for the effective and efficient administration of Bonitas and includes, but are not necessarily limited to, member record management, contribution management, benefit option management, claims processing and management, management of members’ personal, claims and financial information and any other services that are required for the administration of Bonitas;

  • Emergency medical care means such medical procedures as:

  • Health and Human Services Commission or “HHSC” means the administrative agency established under Chapter 531, Texas Government Code, or its designee.

  • Data Services The Customer will receive a discount equal to 25% for the following Data Services: Access: Standard VBS2 Guide local loop charges for DS-1 Access and DS-3 Access Service.

  • Serving Wire Center (SWC) means a Wire Center that serves the area in which the other Party’s or a third party’s Wire Center, aggregation point, point of termination, or point of presence is located.

  • Administration of Medication means the act of placing a medication in or on an individual's body by a staff member who is responsible for the individual's care.

  • Legal Services means fees charged by an attorney:

  • Computer services means providing services consisting of specifying computer hardware configurations and evaluating technical processing characteristics, computer programming, and training of computer programmers and operators, provided in conjunction with and to support the sale, lease, or operation of taxable computer equipment or systems.

  • Emergency medical services personnel means that term as defined in section 20904 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.20904.

  • Consultancy Services means the Consultancy Services described in Schedule A;

  • Beta Services means Xxxxxx services or functionality that may be made available to Customer to try at its option at no additional charge which is clearly designated as beta, pilot, limited release, developer preview, non-production, evaluation, or by a similar description.

  • Rape Crisis Center means an office, institution, or center offering assistance to victims of sexual offenses through crisis intervention, medical and legal information, and follow-up counseling.

  • Respite services means a temporary period of relief and support for individuals and their families provided in a variety of settings. The intent is to provide a safe environment with staff assistance for individuals who lack an adequate support system to address current issues related to a disability. Respite may be provided for a defined period of time; respite is either planned or provided in response to a crisis.

  • Emergency medical care provider means an individual who has been trained to provide emergency and nonemergency medical care at the first responder, EMT-basic, EMT-intermediate, EMT-paramedic, paramedic specialist or other certification levels recognized by the department before 1984 and who has been issued a certificate by the department.

  • Rehabilitation counseling services means services provided by qualified personnel in individual or group sessions that focus specifically on career development, employment preparation, achieving independence, and integration in the workplace and community of a student with a disability. The term also includes vocational rehabilitation services provided to a student with disabilities by vocational rehabilitation programs funded under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

  • Maritime agency services means activities consisting in representing, within a given geographic area, as an agent the business interests of one or more shipping lines or shipping companies, for the following purposes:

  • Medication administration means the direct application of a medication or device by ingestion, inhalation, injection or any other means, whether self-administered by a resident, or administered by a guardian (for a minor), or an authorized health care provider.

  • Pharmacy services means the practice of pharmacy as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW and includes any drugs or devices as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW.
