Dispensed as Written (DAW) definition
Dispensed as Written (DAW) means: DAW 1: when the Physician prescribes the Brand Name Drug because of specific medical reason the Insured will be charged the appropriate Brand Name Drug Copay. DAW 2: when the Insured requests the Brand Name Drug instead of the available Generic Drug the Insured will be charged the Brand Name Drug Copay PLUS the difference in cost between the Generic Drug and the requested Brand Name Drug.
