DPS Officer definition

DPS Officer means the Township Director of Public Services or his or her designee.

  • DPS Officers will receive their normal pay while on jury duty, less the amount received by the DPS Officer from the government for such appearance.

  • Should two (2) or more tow trucks be required by the on scene DPS Officer, each shall be designated as individual tows and thus charged accordingly.

  • Non-compliance with sick leave rules and regulations may result in the DPS Officer not receiving pay for the requested sick leave.

  • Maximum allowable mileage rates shall apply only in cases where a vehicle is being towed and shall start at the point of scene (loaded vehicle) and end at point of vehicle delivery/unload at the nearest Contractor vehicle storage facility, at the destination as specified by the vehicle’s owner, or at a destination specified by the on scene DPS Officer.

  • Maximum allowable hourly rates shall be prorated every 15 minutes after the first complete hour and shall start when the tow truck is dispatched/on the way to a specified scene and shall end at the point of vehicle delivery/unload at the nearest Contractor vehicle storage facility, at a destination specified by the vehicle’s owner, or at a destination specified by the on scene DPS Officer.

  • The DPS Officer upon official state retirement from active service or upon separation of employment by an alternative retirement plan (ARP) participant who would meet the eligibility requirements under the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) and with ten or more years of service with the State of Ohio or any of its political subdivisions, will be paid for one-fourth of the value of accumulated sick leave balance, up to a maximum payment of 240 hours.

  • The payout of sick leave balance as provided in this subsection will be made only once to any DPS Officer.

  • A DPS Officer who received such cash payout and who was rehired post retirement, may accrue and use sick leave while actively employed but shall not be eligible for payment of any unused sick leave balance.
