Drop-in center definition
Drop-in center means a child care center which only provides care to children on an intermittent and occasional basis for less than 4 hours a day.
Drop-in center means a facility that delivers supportive services that may include food, clothing, showers, medical services, and employment services.
Drop-in center means a place or facility that provides casual care for children who are not regularly enrolled at the facility and the facility is not exempt from regulation under Section 71-3-503(a)(10). Such place or facility shall be operated in connection with a business establishment, recreational facility, or similar activity, where children are cared for during short periods of time, not to exceed ten (10) hours per week and for not more than six (6) hours each day for any individual child, while the parents or other custodians of the children are engaged in short-term activities, such as shopping, or recreation, but not including employment.
