Drop Window definition

Drop Window. Education Minnesota and many other labor unions employ a drop window to maintain the predictability of the union to provide services to members. The drop window is the period of time during which members must notify the union if they intend to drop their membership. The Education Minnesota drop window is from September 1 to September 30. A member seeking cancellation must provide written notice to the Union President during the drop window.
