The district shall continue to offer such training and testing opportunities during the employee’s workday until such time that all Education Assistant, Special Education Assistant, Health Aide, and Media Assistant employees have received the ESEA Qualified Endorsement.
If no program Special Education Assistant chooses the option to be excessed, reductions will occur beginning with the least senior non program Special Education Assistant, and continuing in seniority order until the appropriate staffing level is reached.
Seniority is based on the initial date of continuous employment with the District as a Special Education Assistant and the seniority ranking within the citywide special education program site, or other non-citywide program school site at which they work.
