Election Officer or "election official" means any of the following:
State elective position means any position held by any
County officers means those county officers that are required by law to be
County officer 56032. "County officer" means a member of the board of
Designated Employer Representative (DER) means a designated school district representative authorized to take immediate action to remove employees from safety-sensitive duties, to make required decisions in the testing and evaluation process, and to receive test results and other communications for the school district.
Campaign for elective office means any activity in furtherance of an effort to influence the selection, nomination, election, or appointment of any individual to any federal, State, or local public office or office in a political organization, or the selection, nomination, or election of Presidential or Vice-Presidential electors, but does not include activities (i) relating to the support or opposition of any executive, legislative, or administrative action, (ii) relating to collective bargaining, or (iii) that are otherwise in furtherance of the person's official duties.
Elective office means an office regularly filled by vote of the people.
Election official means any election officer, election judge, or poll worker.
Certified peace officer means a peace officer certified by the
Chief election official means the state official or body that is authorized to certify the total number of popular votes for each presidential slate;
Supervisory employee means an employee, regardless of job description, having authority in the interest of the employer to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline other employees, or the responsibility to assign work to and direct them, or to adjust their grievances, or effectively recommend that action, if, in connection with the foregoing functions, the exercise of that authority is not of a merely routine or clerical nature, but requires the use of independent judgment.
Contracting election officer means an election officer who enters into a contract
county executive committee member means the county executive committee member responsible for matters relating to land;
Presiding officer means the labor commissioner or designee.
Expatriate Personnel means such persons who at the time of being so hired had their domicile outside India;
Probation Officer (i.e., USPO) means an individual appointed by the United States District Court to provide pretrial, presentence and supervision (pre and post sentence) services for the court. “Probation Officer” refers to the individual responsible for the direct supervision of a client receiving drug/alcohol testing and/or treatment and/or mental health treatment services.
Police officer means every officer authorized to direct or regulate traffic, or to make arrests for violations of traffic regulations.
Campus police officer means a school security officer designated by the board of education of any school district pursuant to K.S.A. 72-6146, and amendments thereto.
Administrative Officer means anyone designated at the college as being on the administrative staff, such as the President, Chief Academic Officer, Chief Student Services Officer, etc.

Community Developmental Disability Program (CDDP means an entity that is responsible for planning and delivery of services for individuals with developmental disabilities in a specific geographic service area of the state operated by or under a contract with the Division or a local mental health authority.
Designated Employee means an employee who has been designated by the school to receive complaints of hazing, harassment and bullying pursuant to subdivision 16 V.S.A. 570a(a)(7). The designated employees for each school building are identified in Appendix A of this policy.

Elective abortion means the intentional use of an instrument, drug, or other substance or device to terminate a woman's pregnancy for a purpose other than to increase the probability of a live birth, to preserve the life or health of the child after live birth, or to remove a fetus that has died as a result of natural causes, accidental trauma, or a criminal assault on the pregnant woman. Elective abortion does not include any of the following:
Liaison Officer means a local representative of the temporary workforce, duly appointed through the PSC processes, to act on behalf of the workers and through whom all matters pertaining to the temporary workforce can be channelled.
Section 16 Officer means every person who is directly or indirectly the beneficial owner of more than ten percent (10%) of any class of any equity security (other than an exempted security) which is registered pursuant to Section 12 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Section 16 officers include officers or directors of the issuer of such security, and those who perform a policy-making function for the issuer. See Section 16 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The Nuveen Fund Board approves the list of Section 16 Officers for the Nuveen Funds on an annual basis. This list is maintained in the Legal Department in Chicago and includes portfolio managers, traders, and other access persons responsible for making policy related decisions.
