Elective Surgical Procedure definition

Elective Surgical Procedure means a non-emergency surgical procedure scheduled at the patient’s convenience without jeopardizing the patient’s life or causing serious impairment to the patient’s bodily function.
Elective Surgical Procedure means a treatment technique performed through surgery which is a Covered Service under Section 6.0 of this Certificate of Coverage and which is one of several optional medical treatments available, relative to the particular condition, which are acceptable under the current standards of Physicians or Health Professionals in the community.
Elective Surgical Procedure means any nonemergency surgical procedure which may be scheduled at the convenience of the patient or the surgeon without jeopardizing the patient's life or causing serious impairment to the patient's bodily functions.
