Electrical Assistant definition
Electrical Assistant means an employee directly assisting any other employee covered by this award.

Electrical Assistant means an Employee directly assisting any other electrical Employee covered by this Agreement. Classifications - Mechanical trades ‘Storeman’ shall mean an Employee who carries out duties in a tool or materials store including the receiving, despatching, distributing, sorting, checking, documenting and recording of goods, materials and components which may involve the use of forklifts, hand trolleys and similar lifting equipment. ‘Basic Rigger/Scaffolder’ shall mean an Employee whose duties are of a scaffolder or rigger holding a ‘basic’ certificate of competency (i.e. not holding ‘intermediate or advanced certificate of competency).
Electrical Assistant means an employee assisting a tradesperson. (i.e. a Level 4 employee under this agreement)
Electrical Assistant means an employee directly assisting any other employee covered by this agreement. This includes all electrical work normally associated with the work of an Electrical Mechanic, Electrical Fitter, Electrician - Special Class and Electronic Tradesperson. The Electronics/Communications Stream will cover all types of electronic work not requiring the full range of skills and training of an electrical tradesperson. It includes, but is not limited to the following: ▪ Computers, peripherals and other electronic equipment; ▪ Fire alarms, security alarm systems and surveillance systems; ▪ Communications equipment and systems; ▪ Radio/television/public address; and ▪ Communications includes but is not limited to telecommunications. This stream includes instrument and instrumentation work normally associated with the work of Instrument Tradespeople, Electrical/Instrument Tradespersons, Instrument Trades-Complex Systems and Instrumentation and Controls Tradespersons. This stream includes work in or in connection with refrigeration and air conditioning, plant, equipment or systems. This stream includes all the work normally associated with the work of Linespersons and/or Cable Jointers and work in or in connection with, or incidental to the making, installation and maintenance of electrical distribution lines and systems.
