Emergency Days definition

Emergency Days. As set forth in Articles 15.2.5.1, 15.2.5.2, and 15.2.5.3.
Emergency Days. All support staff members will receive five emergency days, not to be subtracted from sick days. An example of emergency leave would include death in the immediate family. Other types of emergencies are to be defined under the direction of the superintendent. There will be no accumulation of emergency leave. Additional days, to be subtracted from accumulated sick days, may be granted at the discretion of the Employer.
Emergency Days. The Superintendent shall be granted up to three (3) days of emergency leave, which shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave.

Examples of Emergency Days in a sentence

  • Any compensation received for such service or duty shall be remitted to the Board or an equivalent amount shall be deducted from the teacher’s salary or wages; this requirement shall continue not to be applicable when such service or duty occurs on a snow day or other emergency day that is subsequently to be rescheduled (made up) under the provisions of Article 54, Snow and Other Emergency Days, Section 1.

  • The ten (10) Emergency Days as described in Item # 1 above, will be administered in accordance with the Em- ployment Standards Act, S.O., 2000, as amended, and will not adversely affect Employees in the Job Posting Selection Criteria.

  • The Chief of Police may designate eight (8) blackout days annually by January 15th on which Emergency Days may be denied.

  • Up to one emergency day per year will be granted and allowed to be used in one-quarter (1/4) day increments for emergency or catastrophe such as fire, flood, tornado, accidents or as defined in Section “E” Emergency Days.

  • Emergency Days -- Each employee will receive two (2) days of leave in each school year for the purpose of caring for an ill spouse, companion, child, parent or member of their immediate household or attending to other emergencies.

  • It is understood that these Family Emergency Days are in place of, and not in addition to, Family Illness Days under Board Policy 411.

  • All absences will be documented; however, points will not be assessed for the following: Approved leave of absences (Medical, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, Bereavement, Military, Jury Duty, Personal Leaves, Union), Snow Emergency Days, Disciplinary Suspensions, Holidays, Vacations, time when employee is sent home by the Company due to no work, and if employee goes home because no work is available in his/her department.

  • The Emergency Days as provided in the Employment Standards Act, S.O., 2000, as amended, are to be inte- grated with the six (6) paid sick days under Article 17 of the current Collective Agreement to a yield a combined maximum of ten (10) days.

  • The Emergency Days as provided in the Employment Standards Act, S.O., 2000, as amended, are to be inte- grated with the three (3) paid sick days under Article 17 of the current Collective Agreement to a yield a com- bined maximum of ten (10) days.

  • Emergency Days may be accrued to a maximum of three (3) days in any one year, and any other unused Necessary Business/Emergency Days will be added to the accumulated Illness/Injury Leave Days at the end of the fiscal year.

Related to Emergency Days

  • emergency period means the period beginning on 13 March 2020 and ending on 31 May 2020;

  • Emergency work means any urgent measures which in the opinion of the Engineer-in-Charge become necessary during the progress of the work to obviate any risk of accident or failure or which become necessary for security.
