Emergency Rate definition

Emergency Rate. – “Emergency” means a serious, unexpected, or unforeseen combination of circumstances and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action, need for assistance or relief. Emergency rate is three times the regular rate.

Examples of Emergency Rate in a sentence

  • Employees who perform semi-skilled work including the operation of mechanized equipment such as trucks, plows, light-graders, backhoes, etc., will be paid Group V Emergency Rate (Code 5).
