Employee Reporting definition

Employee Reporting. An employee shall report sick leave absences to their immediate supervisor prior to the start of their regularly scheduled work day if possible and in no instance later than one half (1/2) hour after the start of their regularly scheduled work day. Failure to comply with this requirement without just cause may be cause for disciplinary action. Physician’s Certificate - When an employee is absent for more than two (2) consecutive working days due to their illness or injury or of their spouse or child, the Department Head may require the attending physician’s statement to certify the reason for the absence. In all cases of hospitalization of an employee a physician’s certificate will be required releasing the employee to work. The department may require the County physician to see employee prior to return.
