Employment card definition

Employment card means a long-term residence permit entitling a foreign national to reside temporarily in the territory for longer than 3 months and to engage in employment in the position for which the employment card has been issued or in a position for which the Ministry has granted approval pursuant to paragraph (7) or (8). An employment card shall entitle a foreign national for whom a work permit is required pursuant to the Employment Act or who is referred to in Section 98 of the Employment Act to reside in the territory for purpose of employment.49)

Examples of Employment card in a sentence

  • Employment card in Form XIV should be issued to all work men by the contractor.

  • If a worker has already any such card with him issued by the previous employer, the contractor shall merely endorse that Employment card with relevant entries.

  • On termination of employment the Employment card shall again be endorsed by the contractor and returned to the worker.
