Energy Operations definition

Energy Operations means (i) the exploration, production, transportation, distribution, refining, storage or marketing of crude petroleum, natural gas and petroleum and natural gas products and chemical products, (ii) the generation, storage, transmission and distribution of energy, whether or not derived from petroleum or natural gas products, and (iii) mining of mineral deposits or ores. Oil Insurance Limited will apply such tests as it deems prudent in determining, within the parameters of this definition what constitutes Energy Operations.
Energy Operations means (i) the exploration, discovery, mining, extraction, production, transportation, generation, transmission, distribution, refining, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, and/or sale of (1) biochemicals, (2) biofuels, (3) chemicals, (4) coal, (5) energy, (6) hydrocarbon products, (7) hydrocarbons, (8) hydrogen, and/or (9) mineral deposits or ores, and/or (ii) the capture, transportation, storage, and/or sequestration of carbon dioxide. Oil Insurance Limited will apply such tests as it deems prudent in determining, within the parameters of this definition, what constitutes Energy Operations.

Related to Energy Operations

  • Energy means electricity, natural gas, steam, hot or chilled water, fuel oil, or other product for use in a building, or renewable on-site electricity generation, for purposes of providing heating, cooling, lighting, water heating, or for powering or fueling other end-uses in the building and related facilities, as reflected in Utility bills or other documentation of actual Energy use.

A fuel cell using hydrogen derived from these eligible resources is also an eligible electric generation technology. Fossil and nuclear fuels and their derivatives are not eligible resources.
