Environmental Act definition

Environmental Act. Defined. As used in this agreement, the term “environmental act” includes, but is not limited to, the Comprehensive Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource, Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), or successor statutes to either, their state or local counterparts or any federal, state, or local enactment or regulation relating to the clean up, disposal or control of waste, or any other federal, state or local enactment or regulation relating to the protection of the environment, or the protection of natural resources such as air, water or soil or relating to the protection of human health and welfare. The term also includes any rule of common law, including but not limited to nuisance, relating to any of the above.
Environmental Act means the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act No. 57 of 2003, as amended from time to time, together with all regulations, rules, norms and standards issued in terms thereof and any legislation as may be promulgated from time to time to repeal or replace the Act;
Environmental Act means any environmental law or regulation enacted by the State of New Mexico governing the protection of the environment, the operation of mines, the permitting of mines, the hauling of minerals over state roads, or other laws governing, either directly or indirectly, the mining, extraction, transportation and marketing of the Sierra Kaolin(TM).

  • Environmental Laws means any and all Federal, state, local, and foreign statutes, laws, regulations, ordinances, rules, judgments, orders, decrees, permits, concessions, grants, franchises, licenses, agreements or governmental restrictions relating to pollution and the protection of the environment or the release of any materials into the environment, including those related to hazardous substances or wastes, air emissions and discharges to waste or public systems.

  • Environmental Activities means the use, generation, transportation, handling, discharge, production, treatment, storage, release or disposal of any Hazardous Materials at any time to or from any portion of the Premises or located on or present on or under any portion of the Premises.
