Excavation Support definition

Excavation Support means ground support consisting of steel ribs and steel lagging placed during or immediately after excavation within the TBM to stabilize the ground until the final support is installed. The excavation support will be contact grouted to minimize ground settlement
Excavation Support means ground support consisting of Steel Ribs and timber lagging placed during or immediately after excavation with the Tunnel Boring Machine (when using Two-Pass Tunnelling) to stabilize the ground until the Final Support is installed.
