Each Party shall be solely responsible for payment of any Social Security, Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA), Medicaid or other taxes that it is required by Applicable Law to pay in conjunction with its employees, Agents and contractors, and for withholding and remitting to the applicable taxing authorities any taxes that it is required by Applicable Law to collect from its employees.
The Consultant is responsible for paying all applicable income, Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA), Federal Unemployment Tax Act, or other taxes owed on compensation paid under this Agreement.
The Host Employer and its agents, employees and Interns shall not hold themselves out as MassCEC employees and shall not be deemed employees of MassCEC for any purpose, including all federal, state, and local laws applicable to income tax withholding, Federal Insurance Contributions Act taxes, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation and any other rights, benefits, or obligations relating to a MassCEC employment relationship.
