Filter Pack definition

Filter Pack means sand or gravel that is uniform, clean, and siliceous. It is placed in the annulus of the well between the borehole wall and the well screen.
Filter Pack means clean, well rounded, smooth, uniform, sand or gravel, which is placed in the annulus of the well between the bore hole wall and the liner, perforated pipe, or well screen to prevent formation material from entering the well.
