Fire Officers definition

Fire Officers. Employees designated as Captains and/or Lieutenants.
Fire Officers means any operational member of the Fire and Emergency Service;
Fire Officers or “officer” means a person appointed to an office in the Fire Service;

Examples of Fire Officers in a sentence

  • Each candidate will be afforded the opportunity to review his/her examination results for any course of instruction with the Coquitlam Professional Fire Officer's Development Program.

  • Airport Fire Officers and Airport Operations Specialists with less than six (6) months aggregate service with the Employer will be considered probationary.

  • The Fire Chief may authorize the payment of overtime compensation at the rate of one and one-half times the employees’ normal rate of pay for Chief Fire Officers who are assigned to emergency response efforts when extraordinary circumstances warrant.

  • In the event of a temporary vacancy (due to unforeseen illness or injury) and a need for an acting position within the Fire Officers Unit, the candidate ranked first by the Fire Chief on the Lieutenant promotional list may fill said position no sooner than 14 days after the opening occurs in the event there is confirmation that injury or illness will be greater than 90 calendar days.

  • In the event there is a temporary vacancy (due to unforeseen illness/injury) and a need for an Acting Position within the Fire Officers Unit, the candidate ranked first by the Fire Chief on the Lieutenants promotional list shall fill said position no sooner than thirty (30) days after the opening occurs and shall be filled no later than forty-five 45 days after the vacancy occurs.

  • This Agreement has as its purpose the promotion of harmonious relations between the EMPLOYER and the Concord Fire Officer's Association; the establishment of a workable procedure for the resolution of differences; and the setting forth of the terms of employment as provided by New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated, Chapter 273-A.

  • The decision to require the employee to submit to testing in the case of suspected alcohol abuse, or in the case of suspected drug abuse, will require the approval of two Fire Officers.

  • This Article applies to Fire Officers and Equipment Operators hired before February 14, 2003.
