For Any Reason means that a person exercises a public function, looking after public interests or the satisfaction of needs of general interest subject to the supervision of a public authority, even without a formal or regular investiture (in charge of a public “de facto” service). In fact, the relationship between the P.A. and the person who carries out the service is not included. Therefore, even a private individual or the employee of a private company can be qualified as a public service officer when they carry out activities aimed at pursuing a public purpose and protecting a public interest.
