Fraud and Corruption definition

Fraud and Corruption means any of those actions defined in the GCC (including the phrases “coercive practice,” “collusive practice,” “corrupt practice,” “fraudulent practice,” “obstructive practice,” and “prohibited practice” as defined in GCC Sub-Clause 1.1, according to which action may be taken against the Consultant, Personnel or MCA Entity personnel.
Fraud and Corruption means the commitment of an offence contrary to Part VII of the Act.

Fraud and Corruption means the act(s) defined in Article 5.02(c) of these General Conditions.

Fraud and Corruption means the abuse of one’s position and power while making or preventing others from doing something for one’s personal interest, or the interest of another person or group. That, amongst other things, includes to giving or to receiving bribes, embezzlements, fraud and tax evasion. It also includes colluding with others in such activities.

Related to Fraud and Corruption

  • Corruption means the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. It may include improperly influencing the actions of another party or causing harm to another party. The gain or benefit may be for the person doing the act or for others.

  • Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Laws means the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended, any rules or regulations thereunder, or any other applicable United States or non-U.S. anti-corruption or anti-bribery laws or regulations.

  • Applicable Anti-Corruption and Bribery Laws means international, federal, state, provincial and local laws, rules, regulations, directives and governmental requirements currently in effect and as they become effective relating in any way to the Contractor’s provision of goods and/or services to Authority, including without limitation “FCPA” or any applicable laws and regulations, including in the jurisdiction in which the Contractor operates and/or manufac- tures goods for the Authority, relating to anti-corruption and bribery.

  • Bribery means the act of unduly offering, giving, receiving or soliciting anything of value to influence the process of procuring goods or services, selecting consultants, or executing contracts.

  • Anticorruption Laws means the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended and any other anticorruption or anti-bribery Applicable Law applicable to the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.

  • Anti-Corruption Laws means all laws, rules, and regulations of any jurisdiction applicable to the Borrower or its Subsidiaries from time to time concerning or relating to bribery or corruption.

  • Anti-Corruption Law means any Applicable Law relating to anti-bribery or anti-corruption (governmental or commercial), including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended, and any other Applicable Law that prohibits the corrupt payment, offer, promise or authorization of the payment or transfer of anything of value (including gifts or entertainment), directly or indirectly, to any Person, including any Government Official.

Sections 78a, 78m, 78dd-1, 78dd-2, 78dd-3, and 78ff, as amended, if applicable, or any similar law of the jurisdiction where the Property is located or where the Company or any of its Subsidiaries transacts business or any other jurisdiction, if applicable.

  • Corrupt Act means any offence in respect of corruption or corrupt activities contemplated in the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act No. 12 of 2004;

  • corrupt practice means the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of anything of value to influence the action of a public official in the procurement process or in contract execution.

  • Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Laws shall have the meaning assigned thereto in Section 3.1(f)(i).

  • Corrupt and Fraudulent Practices means either one or any combination of the practices given below;

  • Anti-Terrorism Laws are any laws relating to terrorism or money laundering, including Executive Order No. 13224 (effective September 24, 2001), the USA PATRIOT Act, the laws comprising or implementing the Bank Secrecy Act, and the laws administered by OFAC.

  • Anti-Bribery Laws means the anti-bribery provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended, and all other applicable anti-corruption and bribery Laws (including the U.K. Xxxxxxx Xxx 0000, and any rules or regulations promulgated thereunder or other Laws of other countries implementing the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Officials).

  • Data Protection Laws and Regulations means all laws and regulations, including laws and regulations of the European Union, the European Economic Area and their member states, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, applicable to the Processing of Personal Data under the Agreement.

  • Privacy Act means the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • UK Bribery Act means the Xxxxxxx Xxx 0000 of the United Kingdom, as amended, and the rules and regulations thereunder.

  • corrupt and fraudulent practice means the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting, of anything of value to influence the action of a public official or the contractor in the procurement process or in contract execution to the detriment of the procuring agency; or misrepresentation of facts in order to influence a procurement process or the execution of a contract, collusive practices among applicants/bidders (prior to or after bid submission) designed to establish bid prices at artificial, non-competitive levels and to deprive the procuring agency of the benefits of free and open competition and any request for, or solicitation of anything of value by any public official in the course of the exercise of his duty;

  • Anti-Terrorism Law means the USA Patriot Act or any other law pertaining to the prevention of future acts of terrorism, in each case as such law may be amended from time to time.

  • Anti-Bribery Law means any applicable anti-bribery or anti-corruption law, regulation or rule enacted in any jurisdiction, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 and the UK Xxxxxxx Xxx 0000;

  • Medicaid Regulations means, collectively, (i) all federal statutes (whether set forth in Title XIX of the Social Security Act or elsewhere) affecting the medical assistance program established by Title XIX of the Social Security Act and any statutes succeeding thereto; (ii) all applicable provisions of all federal rules, regulations, manuals and orders of all Governmental Authorities promulgated pursuant to or in connection with the statutes described in clause (i) above and all federal administrative, reimbursement and other guidelines of all Governmental Authorities having the force of law promulgated pursuant to or in connection with the statutes described in clause (i) above; (iii) all state statutes and plans for medical assistance enacted in connection with the statutes and provisions described in clauses (i) and (ii) above; and (iv) all applicable provisions of all rules, regulations, manuals and orders of all Governmental Authorities promulgated pursuant to or in connection with the statutes described in clause (iii) above and all state administrative, reimbursement and other guidelines of all Governmental Authorities having the force of law promulgated pursuant to or in connection with the statutes described in clause (ii) above, in each case as may be amended, supplemented or otherwise modified from time to time.

  • HIPAA means the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, as amended.
