FSLA definition

FSLA means the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. GAAP means generally accepted accounting principles as in effect at the relevant date.

  • All unused compensatory time, for all FSLA covered employees, will be paid upon an employee leaving State service or upon death, to the employee’s estate, at a rate, which is the higher of: • The final regular rate received by the employee; or • The final average regular rate received by the employee during the last three years of employment.

  • For non-exempt pay band employees, overtime is paid in accordance with FSLA regulations.

  • The base bi- weekly pay shall be 106 hours of the employee's’ regular hourly wage plus 6 hours (FSLA time) at 1.5 times the employee's’ hourly wage.

  • It is understood by the parties that for purposes of applying the Fair Labor Standards Act to employees covered by the FSLA, a workweek is a seven (7) consecutive day period designated by the employer consisting of twenty-four hours each day.

  • Director/Supervisor is considered a full-time employee and by virtue of compensation and duties is exempt from FSLA overtime requirements.

  • The Personnel Manager, as requested or necessary will review identified classifications (job duties & description) and will have the authority to change the FSLA exempt status in consultation with the respective Department Head.
