Functional Body definition

Functional Body means the Greater London Authority or any of its other functional bodies, currently, the London Development Agency, the Metropolitan Police Authority, the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority and Transport for London;

  • approved person means, in respect of a member (Member) of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), an individual who is a partner, director, officer, employee or agent of a Member who is approved by IIROC or another Canadian SRO to perform any function required under any IIROC or other Canadian SRO by-law, rule, or policy;

  • Crown Body means any department, office or executive agency of the Crown;

  • approved blood scheme means a scheme established or approved by the Secretary of State, or trust established with funds provided by the Secretary of State, for the purpose of providing compensation in respect of a person having been infected from contaminated blood products;

  • Governmental function means an activity that is expressly or impliedly mandated or authorized by constitution, statute, local charter or ordinance, or other law. Governmental function includes an activity performed on public or private property by a sworn law enforcement officer within the scope of the law enforcement officer's authority, as directed or assigned by his or her public employer for the purpose of public safety.

  • Supervised financial organization means a person, other than an insurance company or other organization primarily engaged in an insurance business:

  • General Body means all the Ordinary members (Active members and Non active members).

  • Legislative body means the municipal council.

  • Institutional Client means a major commercial bank, corporation, insurance company, or substantially similar institution, which, as a substantial part of its business operations, purchases or sells securities and makes use of custodial services.

  • Host Authority means the local authority appointed by the Parties under these arrangements to lead on a specified matter or function as set out in paragraphs 14 and 19.

  • functionality means the ability of a tenderer to provide goods or services in accordance with specifications as set out in the tender documents.

  • Port Authority means a port authority created under Chapter 4582. of the Revised Code.

  • Authority Software means software which is owned by or licensed to the Authority, including software which is, or will be used by the Contractor for the purpose of providing the Services but excluding the Contractor Software.
