Funding Authority means the body awarding the grant for the Project. In Horizon 2020, as per the MGA, the legal body awarding the grant for the Project can be the European Union or the European Atomic Energy Community (represented by the European Commission), or one of the agencies established for managing large parts of the framework programme the - Research Executive Agency (REA) - European Research Council Executive Agency (ERCEA) - Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) - Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) each acting under the powers delegated by the European Commission. For the purposes of a Consortium Agreement, “Funding Authority” may also be used to refer to Joint Undertakings or similar bodies awarding the grant for the EU Project.

Funding Authority means any Local Authority, NHS body or other local or central governmental authority that has agreed to pay all or part of the fees agreed for the services to be provided under an agreement with the Funding Authority;

• The financial contribution of the Funding Authority to the Project shall be distributed by the Coordinator according to: - the Consortium Plan - the approval of reports by the Funding Authority, and - the provisions of payment in Section 7.3. A Party shall be funded only for its tasks carried out in accordance with the Consortium Plan.

More Definitions of Funding Authority

Funding Authority means the body awarding the grant for the Project. “Defaulting Party” Defaulting Party means a Party which the General Assembly has identified to be in breach of this Consortium Agreement and/or the Grant Agreement as specified in Section 4.2 of this Consortium Agreement.
