Furlough days definition

Furlough days. All members of the bargaining unit shall serve furlough days, with part-time members serving furlough days based proportionally on their scheduled hours of work. There shall be one (1) furlough day before June 1, 2009; three furlough days between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010 and three furlough days between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011. Employees in seven day a week or continuous operations assignments shall serve the equivalent of the above referenced furlough days.

Examples of Furlough days in a sentence

  • Furlough days shall be treated in the same manner as voluntary schedule reductions under Connecticut General Statute 5-248c.

  • Furlough days will not be counted towards the fifteen (15) percent total.

  • Furlough days shall be treated for in the same manner as voluntary schedule reductions under Connecticut General Statute 5-248c.

  • Furlough days are days off without pay with the commensurate revised compensation in any month when a furlough day is administered.

  • Furlough days will be treated as additional Flex Days and added to each member’s Flex Day bank.

  • Furlough days during the duration of this contract will not apply to Child Care Workers.

  • Furlough days designated for fiscal year 2014-2015 shall not rollover for use during fiscal year 2015-2016; and, furlough days designated for fiscal year 2015-2016 shall not rollover for use during the next fiscal year.

  • Furlough days and any loss of compensation or benefits created by the associated reduction in work hours, shall be eliminated effective the pay period beginning August 22, 2019.

  • Furlough days will not impact an employee’s eligibility for or continued enrollment in the University’s health, vision and life insurance plans.
