Gadget definition

Gadget means a package transaction consisting of Euro interest rate swaps dated from spot to specified outright maturity dealt with a government bond futures contract hedge of corresponding size.
Gadget refers to electronic item purchased by You, for which You hold Evidence of Ownership. For the purposes of this Policy, Gadget can be any one of the following items: mobile phones, laptops, tablets, desktops, digital cameras, PC monitors, MP3 players, DVD players, game consuls, camera lenses, bluetooth headsets, PDAs and portable speakers.
Gadget means a Mobile phone, I - Phones, I - PAD/ tablet/ laptop computer, or any handheld tablet, computers excluding any accessories or attachments that come as standard equipment with such devices. For the purpose of this Benefit, “Market Value” refers to the amount required to purchase a new gadget of the same kind and quality as the gadget in relation to which a claim is made under this Benefit, less applicable depreciation @25% per annum from the date of purchase of such gadget, calculated as at the time of the loss. For the purpose of this benefit “Unattended means” the device is either not visible to insured or proximity to the device is such that you cannot intervene an incident occur that results in loss, theft or damage to the gadget. This Benefit shall be payable subject to the following:

Examples of Gadget in a sentence

  • Any modifications that have been made from the original specifications of the Gadget.

  • Any kind of damage whatsoever unless the damaged Gadget is provided for repair.

  • Any claim where You knowingly leave Your Gadget somewhere Unattended and it is at risk of being lost, stolen or damaged.

  • Cover will only apply within 24 hours of discovery of the Theft of Your Gadget.

  • For example - where Your Gadget is left at the side of a sports pitch whilst You are participating in the sport.

  • Any claim where Proof of Usage cannot be provided or evidenced (applicable where the Gadget is a SIM enabled device or in respect of a laptop/tablet where user history is available).

  • Such Proof of Purchase must evidence that You own that particular Gadget, which may include the IMEI number or serial number (where applicable in respect of mobile phones and laptops) and other identifying details where appropriate.

  • This would include things like adding gems, precious metals or unlocking Your Gadget from a network.

  • Theft or Loss to SIM or memory cards in isolation (unless it accompanies a valid claim for Your Gadget).

  • Provide the Proof of Purchase of the Gadget for which You are claiming.
