Governmental Securities definition

Governmental Securities means direct obligations of the United States of America, or direct obligations of any agency or instrumentality thereof the obligations of which are expressly backed by the full faith and credit of the United States of America, or obligations fully and expressly guaranteed as to principal and interest by the United States of America or any such agency or instrumentality thereof, other than any Structured Finance Securities or Derivative Securities.
Governmental Securities means direct obligations of, or obligations guaranteed by, the United States of America, to the payment of which the full faith and credit of the United States is pledged.
Governmental Securities shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4.3(a).

Related to Governmental Securities

  • Municipal Securities means municipal securities as described under the heading “Portfolio Contents” in the prospectus or other offering document for a Series of RVMTP Shares.

  • Individual Securities shall have the meaning specified in Section 3.01(p).

  • Capital Securities means undivided beneficial interests in the assets of the Trust which rank pari passu with Common Securities issued by the Trust; provided, however, that upon the occurrence and continuance of an Event of Default (as defined in the Declaration), the rights of holders of such Common Securities to payment in respect of distributions and payments upon liquidation, redemption and otherwise are subordinated to the rights of holders of such Capital Securities.

  • Physical Securities means permanent certificated Securities in registered form issued in denomination of $1,000 Principal Amount and integral multiples thereof.

  • Federal Securities means: (a) any direct general obligations of the United States of America (including obligations issued or held in book entry form on the books of the Department of the Treasury of the United States of America), for which the full faith and credit of the United States of America are pledged; (b) obligations of any agency, department or instrumentality of the United States of America, the timely payment of principal and interest on which are directly or indirectly secured or guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the United States of America.

  • Securities as used herein does not include (i) securities of issuers that are affiliated with the Buyer or are part of the Buyer's Family of Investment Companies, (ii) securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. or any instrumentality thereof, (iii) bank deposit notes and certificates of deposit, (iv) loan participations, (v) repurchase agreements, (vi) securities owned but subject to a repurchase agreement and (vii) currency, interest rate and commodity swaps.

  • Non Book-Entry Capital Securities shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.05.

  • NIM Securities As defined in the tenth Recital to this Agreement.

  • Covered Securities means any note, stock, treasury stock, security future, bond, debenture, evidence of indebtedness, certificate of interest or participation in any profit-sharing agreement, collateral-trust certificate, preorganization certificate or subscription, transferable share, investment contract, voting-trust certificate, certificate of deposit for a security, fractional undivided interest in oil, gas, or other mineral rights, any put, call, straddle, option, or privilege on any security (including a certificate of deposit) or on any group or index of securities (including any interest therein or based on the value thereof), or any put, call, straddle, option, or privilege entered into on a national securities exchange relating to foreign currency, or, in general, any interest or instrument commonly known as a "security", or any certificate of interest or participation in, temporary or interim certificate for, receipt for, guarantee of, or warrant or right to subscribe to or purchase any of the foregoing.

  • Preferred Securities has the meaning specified in the first recital of this Indenture.

  • Definitive Capital Securities means any Capital Securities in definitive form issued by the Trust.

  • Trust Preferred Securities any preferred securities issued by a Trust Preferred Securities Subsidiary, where such preferred securities have the following characteristics:

  • Municipal security means a secu- rity that is a direct obligation of or issued by, or an obligation guaranteed as to principal or interest by, a State or any political subdivision thereof, or any agency or instrumentality of a State or any political subdivision thereof, or any municipal corporate in- strumentality of one or more States or political subdivisions thereof.

  • Definitive Capital Securities Certificates means either or both (as the context requires) of (i) Capital Securities Certificates issued as Book-Entry Capital Securities Certificates as provided in Section 5.11, and (ii) Capital Securities Certificates issued in certificated, fully registered form as provided in Section 5.13.

  • Real Estate-Related Securities shall have the meaning set forth in the Charter.

  • Equity Preferred Securities means, with respect to any Person, any trust preferred securities or deferrable interest subordinated debt securities issued by such Person or other financing vehicle of such Person that (i) have an original maturity of at least twenty years, and (ii) require no repayments or prepayments and no mandatory redemptions or repurchases, in each case, prior to the first anniversary of the latest Maturity Date.

  • Mortgage-backed Securities means securities that are secured or otherwise backed by Mortgage Loans.

  • Public Notes means the Notes that have been registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or the securities laws of any other jurisdiction. As of the Closing Date, the Public Notes include the Class A Notes, the Class B Notes, the Class C Notes and the Class D Notes, other than any Notes held by the Depositor (or any other entity whose separate existence from the Trust is disregarded for federal income tax purposes).

  • Asset-Backed Securities means securities which:

  • ETP Securities means the Series of ETP Securities to which these Conditions relates or, as the context may require, any or all securities issued by the Issuer under the Programme.

  • Definitive Preferred Securities Certificates means Preferred Securities issued in certificated, fully registered form that are not Global Preferred Securities.

  • Foreign Securities include: securities issued and sold primarily outside the United States by a foreign government, a national of any foreign country or a corporation or other organization incorporated or organized under the laws of any foreign country and securities issued or guaranteed by the government of the United States or by any state or any political subdivision thereof or by any agency thereof or by any entity organized under the laws of the United States or of any state thereof which have been issued and sold primarily outside the United States.

  • WREGIS Certificates has the same meaning as “Certificate” as defined by WREGIS in the WREGIS Operating Rules and are designated as eligible for complying with the California Renewables Portfolio Standard.

  • Agency Securities means negotiable debt obligations which are fully guaranteed as to both principal and interest by the Federal National Mortgage Association, the Government National Mortgage Association or the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, but excluding (i) interest only and principal only securities and (ii) Collateralized Mortgage Obligations, Real Estate Mortgage Investment Conduits and similar derivative securities.

  • Capital Securities Certificate means a certificate evidencing ownership of Capital Securities, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit D.

  • Company Subsidiary Securities has the meaning set forth in Section 3.02(d).
