Gravity Grease Interceptor (GGI) definition

Gravity Grease Interceptor (GGI) means an interceptor with a capacity of at least 500 gallons to serve one or more fixtures and which shall be sized, plumbed and remotely located pursuant to the Uniform Plumbing Code currently in use and MMC 13.10.140 B.
Gravity Grease Interceptor (GGI) means a plumbing appurtenance or appliance installed in a sanitary drainage system to intercept nonpetroleum fats, oils, and greases (FOG) from wastewater discharge and is identified by volume, thirty (30) minute retention time, baffle(s), a minimum of two (2) compartments, and gravity separation. A GGI operates based on the principle of physics known as Stokes’ law; working on a batch basis through the dissipation of kinetic energy, it dissipates the kinetic energy in flow through the application of volume and time.
Gravity Grease Interceptor (GGI) means a plumbing appurtenance or appliance that is installed to intercept and separate FOG (Fats, Oil and Grease) from an Industrial User’s wastewater discharge and designed for gravity separation. This is an in-ground interceptor located outside the facility and maintained as specified in Section 7 of these Pretreatment Regulations.

More Definitions of Gravity Grease Interceptor (GGI)

Gravity Grease Interceptor (GGI) means an interceptor of at least 1,000 gallons to serve one or more fixtures and which is remotely located underground and outside of a food service establishment. It is designed to collect, contain or remove food wastes and FOG from the waste stream while allowing the balance of the liquid waste (“gray water”) to discharge to the wastewater collection system by gravity.
Gravity Grease Interceptor (GGI) means an interceptor whose rated flow exceeds 50 gallons per minutes (gpm), has a minimum storage capacity of 500 gallons, and serves one or more fixtures, which is remotely located underground and outside of a food service facility. It is designed to collect, contain or remove food waste and grease from the sewer wastestream while allowing the balance of the liquid waste (gray water) to discharge to the wastewater collections system by gravity.
Gravity Grease Interceptor (GGI) means a plumbing appurtenance or appliance that is installed in a sanitary drainage system to intercept nonpetroleum fats, oils, and greases from a wastewater discharge and is identified by volume of not less than 750 gallons, 60-minute retention time, baffle(s), not less than two compartments, and gravity separation.
