Grid Security definition

Grid Security means the power system‟s capability to retain a normal state or to return to a normal state as soon as possible, and which is characterized by operational security limits.

This is what happened in many states. For this reason, the Hon’ble APTEL in its order Dated: 2nd August, 2021 in APPEAL NO. 197 of 2019. (National Solar Energy Federation of India vs Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission) has clearly defined some of the critical conditions which cannot be construed as “grid security” issues and the RE power should not be curtailed in the name of grid security.
